I was in a meeting with John Lennon and Paul McCartney at Apple records. In the center of the table was a large glass bowl filled with shortbread cookies. There was paper and pencils in front of everyone. John was sitting across the table from me and was drawing. When the meeting ended, John walked around the table and handed me a sheet of paper. I knew the cookie bowl that had been tempting me, had been calling to John, as well.
