I was sitting at a table at Apple-George Harrison came over and said he wanted to show me something. He put a piece of paper in front of me and began to draw. He drew a wavy line across the middle of the landscape layout page and said, “Imagine this is the top of the ocean”. He drew a line at the bottom of the page and said, “this is the sandy bottom”. In the top right corner, he drew a semi-circle with lines extending out (the sun). He next drew a row boat on top of the wavy ocean. He said, “Ron, life is like being in a boat floating on the ocean. You can sit in the boat and gently float into the sunset or you can jump out of the boat (he drew a stick figure) swim to the bottom of the ocean and pick up a grain of sand. Take that grain of sand, swim back to the surface and put it in your boat, and so on and so on until your boat fills with grains of sand as you float into your sunset.” His point: try new experiences and live life to the fullest. I wish I kept that drawing.

*Chapter xxxiii is titled  Babaji, the Yogi-Christ of Modern India
**I wanted to title my book, Sharing My Grains of Sand, but figured no one would know what the title meant unless they heard this story….
